When InstaGuide is the better fit
Meeting Mode is unique to InstaGuide. Upload a Zoom / Teams / Google Meet / Loom recording and InstaGuide turns it into a structured, editable, searchable guide with screenshots, click indicators, participants, and a Meeting Highlights block. Tango waits for you to click through your workflow again; InstaGuide accepts the meeting you already had.
Visual Process Flow turns a 30-step capture into a one-glance flowchart. InstaGuide auto-builds the diagram — domain-grouped columns, color-coded nodes, app-change indicators — which Tango doesn't ship. Process owners use it to verify a workflow's shape before publishing.
Auto-cleanup runs after every capture. Insta merges duplicate clicks, rewrites generic descriptions with workflow context, normalizes voice, and proposes section breaks at clear app transitions — applying the high-confidence fixes silently and surfacing judgment calls in a review panel. Tango ships the raw capture and leaves polish to the editor.
Capture desktop apps, not just browser. Tango's Chrome extension covers web workflows; InstaGuide also ships a desktop app that captures Excel, Outlook, SAP, and custom internal tools — anywhere documentation actually lives.
Bring your own AI. If your team has an Azure OpenAI contract or wants Claude Sonnet specifically, InstaGuide lets you plug it in at the org level. Tango is single-provider.
Builder + Viewer licensing on Enterprise. Most orgs have a handful of guide creators and dozens of consumers — InstaGuide prices those separately so onboarding viewers doesn't scale linearly with cost.
