Embed — Enterprise

Drop your guides where your team already works

One iframe snippet. Paste it into Notion, Confluence, SharePoint, Zendesk, or any wiki. The embedded guide stays in sync — edit a step in InstaGuide and every embed updates on the next load. No re-paste. No re-export. No drift.

The drift problem

Two ways to put a guide in your wiki. Only one stays accurate.

Old way

Export & paste

  • 1. Export the guide to HTML.
  • 2. Paste it into the wiki page.
  • 3. Workflow changes next month.
  • 4. Re-export, re-paste in every wiki page that has it.
  • 5. Miss one. It drifts. Reader follows stale steps.
With Embed

Paste the iframe. Once.

  • 1. Click Embed → copy snippet.
  • 2. Paste it into the wiki page.
  • 3. Workflow changes next month.
  • 4. Edit the guide in InstaGuide. Done.
  • 5. Every embed updates on the next load.

Three clicks

From InstaGuide to your wiki, in under a minute

1

Enable embed

Open the guide, click Embed, toggle on. Pick light or dark theme, optionally hide the Process Flow.

2

Copy the snippet

InstaGuide generates a token-protected iframe snippet. One click to copy.

3

Paste in your wiki

Notion /embed block, Confluence iframe macro, SharePoint Embed web part, or any HTML editor that accepts iframes.

Your iframe snippet looks like this

<iframe
  src="https://app.instaguide.ai/embed/<guide-id>?t=<signed-token>"
  width="100%" height="720" frameborder="0"
  title="Grant Salesforce CRM access"
  allow="autoplay"
></iframe>

Enterprise

Security

Public by design. Yours to revoke.

Token-protected URL

Only people with the exact embed URL can view. The token is part of the link — no separate login.

Rotate or revoke instantly

Regenerate the token (invalidates every existing iframe) or disable embed entirely. Both take one click.

Viewer-only

Embedded readers can't edit, comment, see audit logs, or see other guides. The iframe is read-only by design.

FAQ

Embed questions

After you publish a guide, you can turn on Embed and InstaGuide gives you a one-line iframe snippet to paste into any page that accepts iframes — Notion, Confluence, SharePoint, Zendesk, Guru, Help Scout, Webflow, WordPress, a Knowledge Base built on your own site. The embedded guide shows the screenshots, click indicators, step descriptions, and (optionally) the Visual Process Flow diagram.
Yes. The iframe loads fresh content on every render. Edit a step in InstaGuide and the next reader to open the host page sees the new version — no cache to flush, no need to re-paste the snippet, no “$1” dance. This is the main reason teams move how-to articles out of wikis and into embedded InstaGuide views.
Token-protected. The URL contains a per-guide signed token — only people with that exact URL can view. Owners can rotate the token (which invalidates every existing iframe) or disable the embed entirely. Disabling is instant.
Enterprise only. The public token-based iframe embed feature is on Enterprise. Free, Starter, Pro, and Business plans can still export to HTML (Starter and up) if you want a shareable static file, but the public embed itself requires Enterprise.
Yes — Enterprise embed lets you set a primary color and upload a logo (URL or file — 500 KB max), and the embedded view replaces the InstaGuide brand mark with yours. You can also pick light/dark theme, hide the Visual Process Flow per guide, or override theme via URL params (?theme=light|dark, ?flow=hide) without re-publishing.
Yes — use the SharePoint Embed web part and paste the iframe snippet (or just the URL). SharePoint's modern pages support arbitrary iframes via the Embed web part. Same pattern works for SharePoint, Confluence Cloud, Notion (via the /embed block), Zendesk Help Center, and most CMS platforms.
Two fallbacks. (1) Share the public link directly — readers click through to the InstaGuide viewer in a new tab. (2) Export to HTML and paste — works in every platform but you lose the auto-update behavior, and you'll re-paste when the guide changes.

Embed once. Keep editing forever.
