How to invite a guest user to a single Slack channel
Add an external contractor or client to one specific channel — without giving them access to the whole workspace.

Step-by-step

Click the workspace name in the top-left and choose 'Invite people to [workspace]'

Click the 'Multi-Channel Guest' or 'Single-Channel Guest' tab
Single-Channel is the safer default for vendors; Multi if they need 2-3 channels.

Enter the guest's email address

Choose the channel(s) they should have access to

Optionally set an expiration date for the guest's access
Default is no expiration. Setting one (e.g., end of contract) avoids stale access later.

Click 'Send Invitations' — they get an email to accept
